It was in 2008 that I turned my Hula Hoop Skills into a business and had no idea what I was going to do exactly. Never met any pro hula hoopers before and all my friends and family decided I'd gone bonkers.

So when people asked what I do for a living and I said I am a professional hula hooper, they had this vision of me hula hooping around my waist every day and had no idea how that can be done as a business. To start with I had no idea either...

Over the years I did figure it all out though and successfully ran my professional hula hoop business from the UK. Initially I went into performing ( corporate events, music videos, circus shows, night clubs...) then I went into party entertainment delivering hoop performances and circus skills playshops to entertain children and adults. 

I also discovered a market for teaching adults hooping to get fit so I ran my hula hoop sessions as fitness classes in gyms, leisure clubs and at venues that I hired. 

There was times I ran after school clubs for children at schools and even delivered full on circus skills days sometimes teamed up with other circus entertainers. 

Once I had my daughter I moved to a country far far away to the woods... In Latvia... From here I am managing my fully monetized Youtube Channel which also qualified for memberships and selling courses and coaching online.

It took a lot of learning, self development and networking and business and tech related lessons to do all this but I think hula hoopers love to learn, to progress, to conquer fears and explore new opportunities.
